For sale is an early issue of the British Airways Junior Jet Club (JJC) membership badge, in the same style as it's BOAC predecessor (British Overseas Airways Corporation).

The JJC was an airline club for children who were regular fliers with British Airways and the club also encouraged an interest in aviation. Each new member of the club would have received their personalised log-book into which details of the aircraft type, each flight details including the Captain and crew names were entered into the log-book. The membership badge (as above) was also issued with the log-book on joining the JJC. A special certificate was issued when the 25,000 flight miles target had been reached.

The original JJC started with BOAC in 1957 and continued after BOAC and BEA (British European Airways) merged to form British Airways in 1974. British Airways continued the JJC without any change to its format but closed it down in 1984. The JJC was replaced with the B.A. Flightrider club which had a joining fee and an annual subscription, unlike the JJC which was free of charge.
