British 1959 Pattern Denison Smock as used by Paratroopers.
A genuine 1959 Pattern Denison Smock used by the famous Parachute "Para" Battalions of the British army . From some research it appears this one dates from around 1962 although the inside tag is so faded I can't confirm this. It has the full length zip and knitted wool cuffs.
This was used from 1959 until the DPM uniform was introduced for the British army in 1972 and the DPM parachutists smock began being issued in 1977.
This is a very well used version with field repairs and lots of fraying. Ones in good condition are fetching up to €750 on ebay and a repro is 199 sterling on Silverman's website.
