Antique Victorian Hallmarked Fish Serving Set Circa 1896 Original Case

Beautiful antique Victorian fish serving set dating to approximately 1896–1897.

A very attractive period set comprising a large fish serving knife and matching serving fork, both with decorative engraved metalwork, ornate hallmarked collars and beautifully carved period handles.

The hallmarks date the set to the late 19th century, approximately 1896–1897.

Presented in its original fitted case with deep blue velvet and satin interior. The inside of the lid retains the original Empire trademark and period lettering.

A particularly decorative genuine Victorian tableware set with wonderful age, character and craftsmanship. The carved handles have a lovely warm natural tone and fine grain visible on close inspection.

Very good antique condition for its age with expected signs of use and patina. The original case shows age and wear externally, as pictured.
