Antique Victorian Carved Walnut Sofa

Beautiful and extremely striking antique Victorian carved wooden salon sofa, believed to date from the late 19th century.

A substantial and unusual piece with exceptionally decorative carved detailing throughout, including the elaborate central crest, scrolling arms and beautifully turned front legs with original-style brass castors.

The sofa has a lovely aged patina to the timber and is full of character. It has been upholstered at some point during its life, with the current patterned upholstery showing its age and adding to its traditional character.

A fantastic statement piece for a period home, hallway, drawing room, sitting room or anyone looking for an unusual antique piece of furniture.
