This is a massive, incredibly comprehensive culinary guide featuring 48 beautiful full-page coloured plates by A.H. Sands and approximately 250 detailed illustrations throughout the text. It covers everything from traditional Edwardian classics to complex French cuisine techniques.

In antique, well-loved condition. The original blue cloth cover shows expected shelf wear, rubbing to the edges, and aging to the spine gilt. There is a tiny vintage hand-written "4€" price notation on the upper corner of the front cover from a previous owner/shop. The binding remains holding, though shows age. Internally, the pages have expected vintage tanning and minor age-spotting (foxing). Previous owner's name "Irene Carey" is neatly written on the front endpaper.
