Teapot – , with presentation inscription.
Translation of the inscription:
"For a life saved, 1916. From several friends from Portaferry."
It is presumed that this teapot was presented to a doctor at a military hospital in Portaferry
by British Army soldiers during World War I (1914–1918).
Portaferry is a town in Northern Ireland.
Approximate dimensions: height 18 cm, 23 cm from spout to handle.
The teapot is in good condition for its age. There is some wear,
and areas where the silver plating is missing. Marked on the bottom.
