Antique Rudman's Gold Paint kit

Very rare 'Rudman's Gold Paint' (Cambrian Brand) box kit containing its original contents of a (15gm) packet of very fine gold powder (gold leaf substitute, not real gold), partial bottle of 'best varnish', a brush and a mixing dish. The packaging reads: James Rudman (Ireland) Ltd, Blarney Street, Cork. Rare find not seen on internet. Collector's item for display or for use if preferred. See photos for details. €75.

James Rudman Ltd. (Paint Manufacturer) was a prominent British manufacturing firm established in Bristol in the early 19th century. The company manufactured "Stainoleum" varnish, wood stains and paints which were packaged in embossed olive-green glass bottles sealed with corks. In the 1910s and 1920s James Rudman Ltd. aggressively scaled its commercial reach, establishing a major regional branch in Dublin to fulfill paint, enamel, and varnish contracts across Ireland.
