Antique Oak & Brass Box WW1 Connection
Very nice antique 1916 dated Oak and brass bound Box.Likely a cutlery canteen originally but the inside is empty.Very high quality workmanship.Brass shield which reads ‘With best Wishes from the Employees of Geo Cooper & Co LTD 15th Aug 1916’.More than likely this was given to a member of staff who was leaving to fight in WW1.Very nice keepsakes box.Dimensions are 43x31x19cm.Can post for €16 registered post.
