Antique Dublin ring box
Antique ring box from Wekler & Schlegel, a watchmakers and horologists operating in Dublin during the 19th and early 20th century. Established in 1865, their workshop was located at 36 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2 at the time this box was produced.
Their most famous surviving piece is the large iconic clock installed in 1912 above the archway in The Long Hall on South Great George's Street. Commissioned by the pub's owner, the clock sits directly across the street from the firm's old workshop. In fair antique condition. Clasp in perfect working order. See photos. €20.
