Antique 1930s Royal Albert Crown China 32-Piece Tea Set - Pattern 2247 €180 (Open to reasonable offers) For sale is an exceptionally large, 32-piece antique Royal Albert Crown China tea service in the rare, sought-after Pattern #2247. Dating strictly to the 1920s–1930s based on the official historical crown backstamp, this set features an exquisite, hand-embellished Chinoiserie garden motif with vibrant rust-orange blooms, delicate green fronds, and striking black branches. The interior rims of the cups are decorated with an asymmetrical floral border, and pieces are finished with hand-applied gold gilding. This is a much larger set than a standard 21-piece service, offering 9 complete matching "trios" plus extra replacements and serving pieces. The complete 32-piece set includes: - 9 Tea Cups - 10 Saucers (includes 1 extra spare) - 9 Side / Tea Plates - 2 Large Cake / Sandwich Serving Plates - 1 Large Open Sugar / Slop Bowl - 1 Milk Jug / Creamer.
Condition (Transparent Assessment): Overall beautiful antique condition. The tea cups, sugar bowl, and serving pieces are in pristine shape with immaculate, bright gold trim. To be fully transparent, a few of the dining/side plates show typical vintage "gilt rub" (wearing of the gold line along the outer rim) from historic stacking and use over the last century. There are no structural cracks or major damage, and the glaze remains bright and glossy throughout.
Care Note: Due to the genuine gold gilding and hand-painted details, this set is strictly hand-wash only (not suitable for modern dishwashers or microwaves).
