Antique Cast Iron Fireplace Fire Grate Vintage Period Piece

Selling a vintage/antique cast iron fireplace insert and grate, removed from an older property.

93 x 60cm

Lovely traditional period design with decorative cast-iron detailing, including the horseshoe motif above the fire opening. A great piece for restoration, a period renovation, architectural salvage, or as a decorative fireplace feature.

Condition:

* Used and showing its age, with original wear, soot and surface rust
* Fireback/lining has cracking and will require attention
* Some areas of the surrounding cast iron/trim have chips and damage
* Please study all photos carefully — sold as seen, for restoration/renovation
* Heavy item, so collection will be required

Could make a really attractive feature once cleaned up and restored.
