A fine, original mid-19th-century single-shot percussion target pistol of European origin, signed "TROT" on the lockplate in elegant flowing cursive script.

19th-century target pistol featuring Continental European design characteristics (French/Belgian style).

​Octagonal steel barrel fitted with fixed target sights.

​Single set-trigger with rear micro-adjustment screw and scroll hammer action.

​Dark hardwood stock with fine hand-carved micro-checkering (pineapple/fluted pattern).
​Octagonal metal buttcap featuring an intricately engraved monogram inlay ("TM").

​Complete with tipped wooden loading ramrod.
​Approx. 13.5 inches total length.

​Excellent antique condition with deep overall patina. Very strong mechanism. Clean structural lines throughout with no missing screws and no glue repairs. The nipple area exhibits period maintenance/refinement typical of functional target firearms from this era.
