Antique 1923 Sterling Silver Vesta Case - Excellent "Snap" Mechanism
A superb George V solid sterling silver vesta (match safe), hallmarked for Birmingham 1923 by the renowned makers Robert Pringle & Sons (R.B.S).
This collector-grade piece is in remarkable functional condition. Most importantly, the internal spring remains very strong, and the lid snaps shut tightly and securely—a rare find for a piece of this age.
Deeply hand-engraved with classic Edwardian-style foliate scrolls and a diagonal monogram cartouche.
Features the original corrugated striker plate at the base and a sturdy suspension loop for a silver Albert chain.
Excellent antique condition. Hallmarks are crisp and easy to read. Minor age-related surface "bruising" as expected, but no major dents or repairs.
Dimensions: 4.5cm x 3.5cm.
Price: €145
A high-quality investment piece or a standout gift for a collector of English Silver.
