Antique 1820's Masons "Bird and Basket" plates. Dublin retailer mark. Thomas & Higginbotham

This is a lovely set of four original Mason’s Patent Ironstone plates in the famous "Bird and Basket" pattern. Dating right back to the 1820s, these pieces have a fantastic local story—they feature a rare collector's stamp on the back for Thomas & Higginbotham, a prestigious shop that once sat at 11 & 12 Wellington Quay, Dublin.

​It’s quite special to find a matching set of four that still carries this direct link to the city’s past. Made of heavy, durable ironstone with those classic deep blue and warm orange tones, they look just as beautiful today as they did nearly 200 years ago.

Hand painted and decorated, these are a wonderful find for anyone who loves fine pottery or a unique piece of Dublin heritage.

2 small nibbles on one of the pieces. 3 carry the retailers backstamp and all carry the same designers mark.
