Ambassador Lanes were the third largest chain of 10-pin bowling alleys with premises in towns and cities across England.
Ambassador Lanes had bowling alleys at the following places;
• Wolverhampton
• Stevenage
• Portsmouth
• Liverpool
• Ipswich
• Hounslow

The UK’s first 10-pin bowling alley was established in 1960 at Stamford Hill (North London) in 1960 and which retained the American format. The new sport grew rapidly in popularity and new bowling alleys proliferated throughout the country, first in London and then to other cities. During this period, the largest 10-pin bowling chains were Top Rank, Excel and Ambassador.
