Adams Tunstall Jasperware Biscuit Barrell Ice Bucket Silver Plate Lid

A beautiful English blue Jasperware biscuit barrel with silver plated top and lid and silver plated  handle. The body is decorated with elegant raised classical vignettes in white. It is in good condition with minor scratches on the surface outside and some dulling to the blue. The lid and the handle are good condition.
The interior ceramic lining is in great sound clean condition.
Silver plate rubbed on the outside.
Antique English "William Adams" biscuit jar produced in the late Victorian period (1890-1920), in porcelain with typical jasperware workmanship and metal parts probably SHEFFIELD EPNS(lid, edge and handle). The ceramic is intense blue in colour with decorations of figures in a neoclassical style interspersed with white vegetal motifs. The decorations are very rich and executed in every precise detail. The makers mark is visible on the base.
The "William Adams" factory began producing in the mid-17th century until 1960 when it was absorbed by the WEDGWOOD factory.
