For sale is a vintage Miraculous Medal of the Blessed Virgin Mary (BVM). The year 1830 refers to when the apparition of the BVM appeared to Catherine Labouré (1806 - 1876). These types of medal were also known as the Medal of Our Lady of Graces or the Medal of the Immaculate Conception.

The obverse show a standing image of the BVM with Rays of Grace emanating from her hands. The reverse shows the BVM monogram, a letter M with cross and two hearts.
