From one collector to another -

This is a lifetime's collection, gathered by one of Ireland's leading nephrologists over a full career. 33 books that lived together on one shelf in his study, and then in mine.

Gifted to me to help me start a library. I am building a different kind of library now - one of books I have read and will read - so I want these to go together, to a home where they will be loved as he loved them.

The heart of it - 14 volumes from The Classics of Medicine Library, Gryphon Editions - full leather, 22k gold tooling, raised bands, all edges gilt, silk ribbon markers. Titles include:

This is not a job lot and I am in no rush. I would like them to stay together as one library.
