19th Century Horned Ceramonial Trident and Dagger (24 Inches)
Here is a wonderful pair of mid to late 19th century..probably Indian ceramonial horned artifacts..The trident features Lord Shiva and it is made of gilded white metal and natural horn..The piece is in lovely condition and measures 23 5 inches.The unsharpened ceramonial blade sits on a lighter natural horn..with the blade alone measuring 10 inches and the overall piece coming in at 23 inches..Both pieces are mounted in the same manner and fixings..leading meto the conclusion that they were born together for ceramonial purposes and have stayed together..These are a truly very nice set and are priced to sell.
