19th Century Bronze/Brass Lord Hanuman temple bell

Here is very well cast and authentic 19th century Bronze/brass temple bell.It depicts a double faced Lord Hanuman..is 20cms(8") tall and weighs over 5lbs. It's weight, quality of definition in the casting,patina and level of detail in the lower bell are great indicators of age..When quality was all important.There is a nice patination on the figure,that only comes with many decades of handling.The bell itself is totally immersed in geometric shapes and borders..along with temple dancers.The inner bell shows the true age of the bell.It still has it's original 19th century bronze clapper and retainer.Small strike marks are evident on the lower inner rim..Again from many decades of usage.The bell itself is also quite possibly gilded bronze.Safe registered postage available for an additional five euro.Thanks for looking please check out my other ads.
