1987 Handcrafted Irish Yew Wood Miniature Wheelbarrow
This miniature decorative wheelbarrow was handcrafted in 1987 by artisan "B. O'N." using historic native Irish Yew wood.
The piece has a fully documented provenance hand-inked on the undercarriage: It was built from a 200-year-old ancient yew tree felled in 1965 to clear space for the construction of the iconic Fitzwilliam Lawn Tennis Club on Appian Way, Dublin. The timber itself dates back to the mid-1700s.
The craftsmanship is spectacular, featuring precision-molded side panels, traditional jointing pegs, a fully turning spoked wood-cut wheel, and a rich, traditional wax-polished finish that emphasizes the shifting orange and golden tones of the yew grain.
Perfect as a high-end decorative table centerpiece, a planter display for dried florals, or as a premier piece of Dublin architectural memorabilia.
100% original condition, beautifully minded with a deep natural luster.
