1937 Irish Silver Medal - Dramuideacht na Sgoil - Made in Cork by Roche

Selling a rare and beautifully engraved Irish silver medal awarded in 1937 for excellence in school drama (Dramuideacht na Sgoil). This is a unique and culturally significant piece of pre-Éire Ireland, awarded to:

🔸 Obverse Design:
Features an intricate raised image of an Irish round tower, Celtic shield and helmet, and the national harp, framed by ornate zoomorphic motifs — typical of early Irish medal craftsmanship.

🔸 Reverse Engraving:
Fully hand-inscribed with the winner’s name and competition details, along with the maker’s mark “ROCHE, CORK” at the base and the initials “V.R.” at the top — likely the designer or issuing authority.
