18th Century Viennese Suhan Hand Painted Dish 18th Century Viennese Suhan Hand Painted Dish Other Antiques & Collectables

Here is a mega rare 18th century handpainted Viennese Suhan lidded dish..that was manufactured for the rich Ottoman market. The Haspburg Royal family were on the throne in 1744..Their family crest was used after this date on the base..Between 1744 and 1783,no other numbers or letters were impressed on to the base..So this a particularly early example. The piece is wonderfully handpainted, has lots of gold gilding and majolia roses on top..This was always a valuable piece, hence the reason it has been stapled and an inner stabiliser inserted well over a hundred years ago.The dish measures 8 inches across the handles and is 6 inches tall..It has a piece missing on the inner lip..not seen when the lid is on..and a tiny nibble on the centre rose..This is an extremely rare piece and they seldom come to the market.I will include registered post in the asking price.
