18th century irish door lock
18th century Georgian Decorative Mahogany and Brass Door Lock in Heart DesignDecorative rim lock mechanism made of solid mahogany and brass. The brass hardware is all-original and includes a handle that doubles as a knocker which also turns the key mechanism. The key escutcheon is centered in a heart motif and there are fanciful embellishments on either side. This was purchased years ago from a Norman castle in Ireland.
