The Bindi is of the most visually fascinating of all forms of body decoration. The word Bindi is derived from bindu, the Sanskrit word for dot or drop. It is usually a red dot worn between the eyebrows on the forehead, signifying the Third eye. The area between the eyebrows, the Sixth Chakra known as the 'ajna' meaning 'command', is the seat of concealed wisdom. It is the central point wherein all experience is gathered in total concentration.

Bindis come in many bright colors, different shapes and designs, they are decorated with colored glass or glitter. Bindis are self-adhesive and reusable.
