Vintage Metal Large Horse Figurine on Stone Base
Very impressive looking piece. Vintage horse figurine on stone base. Believe the horse to be metal but made to look like gilted bronze. Personally, I think it might be a reproduction of an antique sculpture in gilt bronze, Cheval Libre (Free Horse) by Pierre Jules Mene (French) which was an individual portrait of the stallion from his most celebrated L'Accolade.
So this seems like a copy of his but still very eye catching. In good overall condition, bit of wear and tear.
Approx measurements are: Depth at base is 5.5 inches, length at base is 13.5 inches, Height including base is about 11.75 inches.
