Vintage Giovanni Ronzan Beagle Figurine

This is a very large and wonderful porcelain Beagle figurine made by Giovanni Ronzan in Italy circa. 1950's. Just look at that stance! He has two shades of a delicate brown, light and dark and is made of glazed earthenware and painted by hand with the technique of under glaze painting.

The details on this figurine are really superb, highly collectable. Model # 1486

Giovanni Ronzan and his brothers founded the Ronzan factory in Turin late 1930s shortly after he had left his job as chief painter and ceramic modeller at the Lenci factory. During the war the factory moved to Bassano in the Venetto region of northern Italy.

In very good vintage condition. No chips or cracks. A true collectors piece.
