Vintage Child of Prague Plaster Statue | 8 Inches Tall

Beautiful vintage plaster / chalkware statue of the Infant Jesus of Prague (traditionally known in Ireland as the Child of Prague).

Stands at approximately 8 inches tall (approx. 20 cm)—the classic, highly sought-after traditional size!

Features gorgeous hand-painted details, including the traditional red-lined ermine cape, crown, and globus cruciger (orb). This smaller size is absolute perfection for anyone honoring the lovely Irish wedding tradition of placing the statue out in the garden to guarantee dry weather for the big day!

Condition: Vintage condition with an authentic time-worn patina. There are some light paint scuffs and minor chips to the plaster base and cape edges as shown in the photos, which add to its historic character.
