Vintage Bronze Flying Horse of Gansu
Flying Horse of Gansu (also known as the "Galloping Horse Treading on a Flying Swallow").
Original Origin: The authentic bronze masterpiece was discovered in 1969 at the Leitai Tomb in Wuwei, Gansu Province, China.
The original dates back to the Eastern Han Dynasty (25–220 AD) and is considered one of the most iconic pieces of ancient Chinese bronze art.
The horse is depicted mid-gallop, with three legs in the air and one hind hoof resting on a flying swallow. This creative design was used by ancient craftsmen to represent the horse's incredible speed, as if it were overtaking a bird in flight.
Also known as heavenly horses. Heavenly horses were closely related to dragons and flew through the heavens on wings. In excellent condition. 10inch High, 10inch Long, 3inch Wide. Can be posted for €9. Check out my other ads.
