Title: Vintage 1992 African Kisii Soapstone Nesting Ashtray Set - Brown Thomas

Description:
For sale is a beautiful, matching pair of vintage hand-carved African Kisii soapstone nesting dishes/ashtrays.

Both pieces are in excellent, well-preserved vintage condition with no visible chips or cracks. The stone retains its rich black dyed finish, beautifully contrasted by intricate, hand-etched white sgraffito geometric patterns and textures. One of the pieces features a subtly carved notch on the rim, making it functional as an ashtray or a decorative trinket holder.

Fabulous provenance on the base:
- Hand-etched maker mark: "AHL © 1992"
- Features the original vintage retail price stickers from Brown Thomas, showing they were purchased over 30 years ago for £19.95 IR.

Perfect addition to a collection of African folk art, mid-century style bohemian home decor, or vintage tobacciana.

Selling as a pair. Collection or postage available at buyer's expense.
