Rare Walter Bosse Mid Century Monkey Toothpick Holder
Rare charming toothpick holder in the form of a monkey, designed by Walter Bosse for Herta Baller, Austria, in the early 1950's. Can be used as a pen or pencil holder too.
Attributed to Walter Bosse as there are no makers marks or stickers often missing over time.
Whilst most of the creature's features are polished to a golden shine, the monkey's main body is black, and has a bamboo holder for tooth picks, pen or pencils(whatever you prefer).
Walter Bosse is best known for his playful 'black-golden' line of patinated brass animals.
