Pair of German Victorian Bisque Figurines circ 1800's
A lovely pair of antique Victorian Bisque figurines of a girl and a boy ready for playing tennis. The figurines are made of heavy bisque porcelain and are well modeled with excellent attention to detail and have hand painted features, some rubbing on the gold but very little. The girl is holding a bat.The boy is holding a ball in his right hand. They are not marked but are German or French in origin. They are in the style of Gebruder Heubach. Both figurines stand 7.25 " high by 2.75". Both figures are in exceptional good condition , no cracks or repairs. They are both marked by a hand drawn figure , brown 22 for the girl and red 1Y for the boy. (P26)
