Mid Century Walter Bosse Cow Pen holder
A charming Pen holder in the form of a cow, designed by Walter Bosse for Herta Baller, Austria, in the early 1950's.
This delightful Cow figurine was intended to be used as a pen holder.
Whilst most of the creature's features are polished to a golden shine, the cow's main body is black, and has a hole in the back to hold a pen.
Walter Bosse is best known for his playful 'black-golden' line of patinated brass animals. Early examples, like this, are revered for their quality of design and manufacture.
This figurine is in good condition with age related patina. Weighs 143 grams.
