Art Nouveau Style Violinist Figure – Vintage Patinated Metal Sculpture – 24cm

A charming vintage Art Nouveau-style figure of a young girl playing the violin, standing on its original stepped circular base.

Standing approximately 24 cm high, this elegant decorative sculpture captures the graceful movement and flowing lines associated with the Art Nouveau period. The figure has a rich dark bronze-coloured patina and makes an attractive display piece for a bookshelf, mantelpiece or music room.

Interestingly, this model appears to have originally been produced as part of a companion pair, with a matching female figure, and an identical 24 cm violinist was included in an Adam Partridge Decorative Arts auction.

Condition:

Good overall vintage condition.
Age-related surface wear and patina.
Small loss/damage to the tip of the violin bow (please see photographs).
No maker’s signature or foundry mark visible.
