Art Deco Rudolf Rempel figurine
Outstanding large Art Deco Deer and fawn figurine from the German maker Rudolf Rempel. Made in the 40's this lovely soft grey ceramic glazed figurine of a mother deer and fawn is very arresting and highly collectable.
There is a hardly visible crack on the base at the back which extends to the leg. A little glaze loss where the leg is joining the baby and a flake on the bottom rim of the base. Please see pictures. None of this is visible from the front or sides and doesn't take away from the overall impact of this stunning piece.
