£1 bank note issued 14 July 1943 by Bank of Ireland, Donegall Place, Belfast. Serial Number: 585773. Prefix: B/20. Obverse: Hibernia depicted on the left and right sides, with a face in the centre. Reverse: Hibernia located in the centre. Signature: H. J. Adams. World War II era issue. In 1943 The Central Bank of Ireland was created in place of the Currency Commission. Good condition: circulated, clean with some fold marks and tiny tear. Highly collectible. See photos. €100.
