10 Shilling Lady Lavery 7/2/39 IRISH NOTE
Iconic piece of Irish numismatic history: the Series A 10 Shilling "Lady Lavery" banknote. First introduced in 1928 as the inaugural legal tender of the Irish Free State, this series remained in circulation until 1977, though the 10 shilling denomination was issued until 1968 before being replaced by the 50p coin. It is widely considered one of the most beautiful banknote designs in modern history.
