Very good condition.
The Duel was the means to defend one's character and virtue.
One on one combat through fusty cuffs really was for the riff raff.
"Refined Gentlemen" settled their differences with rapier, pistol and other weapons in an often fancyful manner orchestrated from start to finish.
Throw down the gauntlet and it's pistols at dawn.
Robert Baldicks work on this subject is stunning, good quality illustrations throughout.
Collection preferred but I'm happy to post if you are happy to pay for it.
