* The Dublin and Monaghan Bombings
* By Joe Tiernan.

▪︎Brief Introduction
The 1974 Dublin and Monaghan Bombings have remained the biggest single scandal of the Troubles. Thirty-three innocent men , women and children died and almost 300 others were injured in Four car-bombings in the centre of Dublin City and Monaghan Town during Friday evening rush hour on 17th May 1974. Decapitated bodies were plucked from the streets , arms and legs were recovered from shop windows and supermarket rooftops and the entrails of infant babies were scraped from the floors of public house cellars. And yet not a single individual has been made to pay for these ghastly crimes.
This book traces the story of the Dublin and Monaghan Bombings ; the conspiracy , the planning , the execution and the personnel involved. It also looks at the bungled Garda investigation , which appeared more concerned with retaining good relations with the RUC than with finding the truth and punishing those responsible.
