Original edition, rare, without name of the author, one of the most important works of arnauld and the jansenism of port-royal.
Wear to the cover but holding strong. Very well bound with the pages in very good condition, some slight yellowing to some pages and spotting to just a few pages, overall a very good book. Original edition of this important controversial book against protestants, composed by the jansenist theologian and controversialist antoine arnauld ( 1612-1694). The latter claimed to want to "contribute to the conversion of the pretendus-reform" by showing "the horrible reversal that the calvinists have made of the morality of jesus christ. "
