Polish author The Economics of Charity
A rare book “ The Economics of Charity “ by Adam Doboszynski.
F. Mildner & Sons. Herbal Hill, Clerkenwell Road. London EC1. 1945.
Adam Doboszynski was born into a noble family in Poland. He was a soldier of the Polish Army, a Writer. An Engineer and a Social Activist.
After WW11 he came to London where he lived in poverty but managed to publish this book in English in 1945. He went back to Poland but was arrested and executed in Mokotow Prison in 1949.
The book is in good condition but the glued and stitched binding does not seem to have been attached to the cover which may reflect war economics.
