Sven Hörnell was born in Järved near Örnsköldsvik. He spent over 50 years photographing the Swedish mountain range from, among other things, his aircraft Piper Super Cub. He settled in Riksgränsen in the early 1940s after falling in love with northern Lapland. Among other things, Hörnell has published the photo books “Mitt Lappland” (1981) and “Subarktiskt Land” (1991).
