Rosa Mulholland, also known as Lady Gilbert, was an Irish novelist, poet and playwright. In her early literary life she received help and encouragement from Charles Dickens who highly valued her writing and urged her to continue. She lived at Villa Nova in Blackrock, Dublin with her husband John Gilbert, and became Lady Gilbert when he received a knighthood in 1897. She died in 1921. Google Books.
