A first edition publication of IRA veteran Charles Dalton's 'With the Dublin Brigade'. Published by Peter Davies, London: 1929. With photo of author in frontspiece with two comrades. Fold out map of central Dublin at rear of book with places mentioned in the text marked. Other maps showing troop dispositions during various ambushes and actions, also accounts of the organization & tactics of the IRA in Dublin in the early 1920s - an indispensable source for any student of the history of the period, but also a great read, Dalton being a natural storyteller.

Some light spotting on the pages (see photos) but text is clear and perfectly legible throughout, without any marks scribbles or other defacements.

The binding is the original green, without any dust jacket, with the scuff marks associated with age (hard to believe this book is already almost 100 years old!), the spine is in good condition, no loose pages, and the title printed and clearly legible on the spine.
