Adventure Playgrounds 1974 First Edition Hardback Jack Lambert Jenny Pearson

Adventure Playgrounds – Jack Lambert and Jenny Pearson – 1974 First Edition Hardback

A fascinating and increasingly difficult-to-find book on the history of adventure playgrounds and children’s play.

Adventure Playgrounds: A Personal Account of a Play-Leader’s Work, by Jack Lambert as told to Jenny Pearson.

Published by Jonathan Cape in 1974. First-edition hardback, featuring black-and-white photography by Jack Lambert and design by Ken Garland and Associates.

Of particular interest to collectors of vintage books, educational history, playwork, childhood studies and British graphic design.

Condition: Former library copy, with library stamps and handwritten reference numbers on the copyright page. Noticeable wear, rubbing and scuffing to the exterior, particularly around the spine and edges.

The interior is very well preserved for its age, with crisp, clean pages and photographs. Some minor age-related yellowing near the front and back.

Please examine the photographs carefully.
