Focus Sam 9.9 27.5 Size L

Selling a 2023 Focus Sam 9.9 Enduro MTB(size L) FORK IS BUSTED

The bike is in good condition, but needs some attention. This is a fixer upper, so If you just want to get on a bike and ride, this is not for you.

The bike has the following issues:

1. The front shock is done unfortunately. The needle roller bearing(teeth) in the shock are broken off. This means you can’t tighten the thru axle anymore. So unless you have a workaround for that, you would need a new front shock.(I have a spare Rockshox Zeb Select Chrgr Rc Crw 27.5" Boost 180mm that I can replace it with, but I’d have to adjust the price as the Zeb is new.) Let me know if this would be an option.

2. The brakes need servicing. Some of the pistons are stuck.

3. The dropper post inner rod needs tightening(it works though)

That being said……..

The carbon frame is in great shape and has protective frame film covering. The specs on this bike are good as well.

Rear Shock: FOX Float DPX2 Performance, 3-position lever, 230/65 mm, hardware: 30,0 x 8 mm, custom tune. 170mm travel

Wheels: DT Swiss E1900, 584-30, 15x110 mm / 12x148 mm

Tyres are new: Tubeless. Front Maxxis Assegai 27.5X2.60 / Rear Maxxis Minion DHR II 27.5X2.40WT

Brakeset: SRAM Code RSC, 200 mm / 180 mm BRAKE LEVER SRAM CODE RSC

Shifter and Rear Derailleur: SRAM X01 Eagle

I’ve installed a 31.8 / 50mm riser bar, but will add the original factory riser bar and stem as well.

Overall it’s a great bike. A bit unfortunate the Fox 36 rhythm fork is busted. It’s actually still solid with exception of those needle roller bearings.
