Description:
For sale is a vintage 1979 Matchbox / AMT Mercedes-Benz 300SL plastic model kit in 1:25 scale (Kit No. PK-4146).

Condition: Unbuilt / Mint in Box (MIB). All main parts and the chrome sprue remain factory sealed in their original, unopened plastic bags.

Inclusions: Includes the original building and painting instruction booklet in excellent, clean condition.

Important Note (Defect): Due to long-term storage, the clear rear window piece inside the bag has suffered from the classic "tire chemical reaction" (tire melt) and shows surface distortion/cloudiness. An experienced modeler will need to polish it or scratch-build a replacement piece. The rubber tires themselves and the chrome parts are completely unaffected and in great condition.

A wonderful retro project for vintage automotive model collectors and builders.
