Being sold from my personal model collection is this pre-owned vintage Dinky Toys diecast model of a 1954/1955 Mercedes-Benz Racing Car, based on the successful W196R Streamlined F1/Grand Prix car.

** FAIR TO GOOD ORIGINAL VINTAGE DINKY TOYS MODEL WITHOUT ORIGINAL BOX **

* Dinky Toys 237, Mercedes-Benz Racing Car, was launched in October 1957 at an original UK price of 3/8. It remained in the range until 1968 when it was priced at 4/6. Dinky’s model was at 1:45 scale.
* Dinky Toys based their Mercedes-Benz Racing Car on the successful W196R Streamlined Grand Prix car of 1954/1955 that, together with the open wheel version, dominated Formula One racing at the time, winning back-to-back World Driver Championships for Juan Manuel Fangio. However, rather than painting their car silver, Dinky Toys finished No237 in white.

* Model is in fair to good original condition with some minor scratches and scuffs.
* Model has its original race numbers and driver figure.
