Diecast Model Opel Motorwagen - Collectable 1:43

Pre-owned 1:43 scale diecast model of the very first Opel being sold from my personal model collection.
Opel Motorwagen System Lutzmann 1899-1901 Green
** THE FIRST OPEL **
* The model offered is part of the Opel Collection released by Altaya. The model was made by IXO and is good quality with plenty of detail.
* In 1889 Adam Opel purchased the car factory owned by locksmith Friedrich Lutzmann of Dessau. Adam died in 1895 but his sons, in 1899, produced the first ‘Opel-Patent-Motorwagen System Lutzman’. This was based on the ‘arrow’ models previously built by Lutzmann. The design was improved with updates to the chassis and chain-driven steering. These improved both the ride stability and vehicle safety. The design layout was unchanged and the vehicle continued to resemble a horseless coach. It is powered by a single cylinder rear-mounted 1,545cc engine developing 3.5 hp. This gave the 4-seater a top speed of 20 kph (12 mph). Over the next three years 65 automobiles, based on the “System Lutzman”, were built.
