Solido 4002- Jaguar SS100 31/2 Litre Roadster 1938 Cream & Red
* The SS Jaguar 100 was a 2-seater sports car built between 1936 and 1940 by SS Cars Ltd of Coventry, England. In 1936 the name Jaguar was given to a new saloon car and from then on to all the cars. Following World War II, due to the connotations then attached to the initials SS, the company was renamed Jaguar. The SS100 was powered by a Standard Motor Company engine which SS Jaguar modified significantly. It had 6 in-line cylinders with overhead valves. The early SS100s were 21/2 Litre (2,663cc) but after 1937 the engine capacity was raised to 31/2 (3,485cc).
